Ed Helms no longer waiting 'til DADDY'S HOME?

A couple weeks ago I reported that Ed Helms was going to star in DADDY’S HOME opposite Will Ferrell. The film is about a husband trying to cope with his new wife’s ex-husband hanging around to spend time with his kids. But it seems that he might not be able to be in this movie because of scheduling conflicts. Continue reading “Ed Helms no longer waiting 'til DADDY'S HOME?”

Larry Clark's WILD CHILD is now SAVAGE INNOCENT, cast announced

A while back Ronnita reported on Larry Clark’s upcoming film, WILD CHILD, about a teenager who runs away from his abusive family. This project seemed right up Clark’s alley, as he usually makes his films about teenagers acting inappropriately or going through some sort of issue. We haven’t heard anything about this film in about six months, so many assumed it was dead – until now. Continue reading “Larry Clark's WILD CHILD is now SAVAGE INNOCENT, cast announced”

William Shatner starring in Shit My Dad Says pilot

It isn’t a new thing for a television network to see a commercial or an online sensation and think it would make a good sitcom. That’s why many people weren’t too excited when it was announced that the popular twitter account shitmydadsays was being turned into a sitcom. Many were quick to compare the idea to the failure that was Cavemen sitcom (based off the Geico commercials), but this one has a secret weapon up it’s sleeve. James Cameron talks AVATAR's DVD/Blu-ray releases and possible extended cut

It really doesn’t surprise me at all that AVATAR on DVD and Blu-ray would have multiple releases, but sadly it sounds like they are going actively work towards some major double-dipping. In an interview with MTV, James Cameron spoke about the upcoming releases and what to expect.

Check out what he had to say after the jump! Continue reading “James Cameron talks AVATAR's DVD/Blu-ray releases and possible extended cut”

FINAL ORBIT being directed by John Moore

FINAL ORBIT is a project that has been talked about for about two years now. So far, nothing has come from it (obviously), but it looks like now there is a real effort to get it off the ground. It seems that Producer Gale Anne Hurd (TERMINATOR, ALIENS) has a lot of faith in the project. She claims the film has “all of the classic cat-and-mouse, edge-of-your-seat elements to be a fantastic white-knuckle thriller.”

You can read the  official synopsis after the jump! Continue reading “FINAL ORBIT being directed by John Moore”

Jeremy Renner to star in Peter Berg's BATTLESHIP?

Jeremy Renner hit the scene really hard after his outstanding performance in last year’s THE HURT LOCKER and his subsequent Best Actor Oscar nomination. At this point, he probably has enough new job opportunities lining up for a good long while. Now it looks like the New York Times knows what his next project very well could be, if he chooses it, that is. Continue reading “Jeremy Renner to star in Peter Berg's BATTLESHIP?”

AVATAR prequel novel to be written by James Cameron

As everyone knows, AVATAR is officially the highest grossing film of all time, both domestically and worldwide. Now that James Cameron films AVATAR and TITANIC have both first and second place domestically and worldwide, the studios will basically let him do anything he wants. So when the idea came up to make an AVATAR prequel, he agreed, in novel form. Continue reading “AVATAR prequel novel to be written by James Cameron”

Pierce Brosnan claims MAMMIA MIA! 2 is off, is it true?

I know what some of you are thinking, “Why is he talking about MAMMA MIA!” Well, I actually really liked MAMMA MIA!, and even picked it up on Blu-ray. I wasn’t the only one that really dug it either, the film was the fifth highest grossing movie of 2008 and, until AVATAR, it was the highest grossing film in Britain. With all the success the film brought in, a sequel was announced. That was the last we heard about it, until now. Continue reading “Pierce Brosnan claims MAMMIA MIA! 2 is off, is it true?”
