Kaley Cuoco of The Big Bang Theory joins I, HOP

The Big Bang Theory is a very popular show on CBS that has its foot right in the middle of geek and nerd culture. A large part of the show’s success is due to Kaley Cuoco’s portrayal of Penny, the not-so-nerdy hot neighbor. Now, it looks like she is taking the jump into film to play a different role, the hot sister in I, HOP. Continue reading “Kaley Cuoco of The Big Bang Theory joins I, HOP”

Cast of THE HANGOVER officially signs on for sequel

THE HANGOVER 2 has been a sure thing for a very long time now, but technically the cast wasn’t. When the first film was made, there was no expectation that it would reach the ridiculous success it ultimately did, so franchise deals for the main cast weren’t established. Of course, no one doubted they would come back for the second film, and now it is a sure thing as the cast have officially signed deals. Chris Evans in fan-made CAPTAIN AMERICA posters

The announcement of Chris Evans as CAPTAIN AMERICA is one that was met with very little contention, and many fans were very pleased with the choice. Of course, everyone still has their worries. One of the biggest fears about the CAP movie is that they will change the costume up too much. The film’s director Joe Johnston responded to these claims, but the fear still remains. Reports that THOR’s costume would be spot on to the comic do aid many doubts.

Lucky for us, Film School Rejects got some Fan Made FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA posters that give you a taste as to what Evans in the costume would be like. You can check it after the jump! Continue reading “Chris Evans in fan-made CAPTAIN AMERICA posters”

SXSW 2010 Interview: Actor Rhys Ifans (MR. NICE)

Rhys Ifans is an actor that always sets himself apart in almost every film he is in. He has a certain charisma that can really pull you into his role and make it hard to forget the performance. Although his earlier memorable roles are from comedies such as NOTTING HILL, LITTLE NICKY and THE REPLACEMENTS, these days he has been focusing on a lot of dramatic films. During SXSW, I had the opportunity to sit with him and talk about his most recent dramatic role in MR. NICE.

SXSW 2010 Video Interview: Steve Hicks (AMERICAN: THE BILL HICKS STORY)

Steve Hicks Still

This was a really unexpected experience for me. After my interview with the directors of AMERICAN: THE BILL HICKS STORY (which you can watch HERE), I was chatting with director Paul Thomas about Bill Hicks. He mentioned that he was impressed that I was such a fan of Hicks (maybe because of my age) and said he wanted to set me up with Bill’s brother Steve, who was also at the restaurant. It turned out that Steve came to SXSW along with Hicks’ mother in support of the documentary.

As I sat down with Steve, I admitted to him that I wasn’t expecting this interview, and that I was completely unprepared for it. So I asked him if he just would talk about Bill, and the effect the making of the film had on his family. He graciously agreed and the following interview happened. You can check it out after the jump! Continue reading “SXSW 2010 Video Interview: Steve Hicks (AMERICAN: THE BILL HICKS STORY)”

THE BLIND SIDE is a very touching film that took the nation by storm, grossing over 250 million dollars and capturing the hearts of almost everyone who saw it. As most know, the film is also commended for its performances, which ultimately led to Sandra Bullock winning the Academy Award for Best Actress. But would the movie that had it all bring the same magic to the special features of the Blu-ray? Continue reading “Blu-ray Review: THE BLIND SIDE”

Tracy Morgan to play a cop again in SON OF NO ONE

Okay, so Tracy Morgan’s last portrayal of a cop didn’t go so well, but he deserves another shot… right? Regardless of what you or I might think, Nu Image/Millennium Films seems to think he does.
