New U.S. poster for AMERICAN: THE BILL HICKS STORY

AMERICAN: THE BILL HICKS STORY was one of the many great documentaries I was able to see at last year’s SXSW Film Festival. It’s a funny, sad, and altogether inspiring story that will leave the theater with you.

Now, almost a year after the film is premiered at SXSW, it has been given a new poster. You can check out the full poster after the break! Continue reading “New U.S. poster for AMERICAN: THE BILL HICKS STORY”

Clint Eastwood’s J. EDGAR is quickly turning into a highly anticipated project, partly because the director being so high profile, but mostly because of Leonardo DiCaprio and the rest of the knockout cast. The cast is always growing, with people being added almost every day. Just two days ago, we got word about Jeffrey Donovan being added to the cast. Today, we’ve gotten another.

Jason Bateman updates on ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT movie

Arrested Development cast

The ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT movie is an allusive beast. It always seems like it’s coming and we get updates on it constantly but have yet to see it come to fruition. This could mean several things. First, it might not be coming out the way that Mitch Hurwitz was hoping it would. Second, it could be coming out so incredibly well and he wants to make sure it is perfect.

This most recent update, from Jason Bateman, suggests toward the second scenario. You can check what he had to say after the break. Continue reading “Jason Bateman updates on ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT movie”

Image released for upcoming Nickelodeon "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series

Nickelodeon is one of the few cartoon channels that I find still shows quality cartoons that adults can get into. Look at Avatar: The Last Airbender, a series that many people consider one of the best animated series of all time. Back in 2009 Nickelodeon acquired the rights to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, exciting fans like myself to no end.

Just the other day, they released a new image and some info about the upcoming Avatar sequel Legend of Korra. Today, they released an image for their upcoming CGI Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. Check it out after the break! Continue reading “Image released for upcoming Nickelodeon "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series”

When time permits, Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright will pen THE WORLD'S END

Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Edgar Wright burst on the scene with a film called SHAUN OF THE DEAD, the hilarious yet serious comedy about a man and his friends trying to make it through a zombie apocalypse. Following that, they went on to make HOT FUZZ, a film that is often considered a spiritual sequel to their first film. The third film of that spiritual trilogy, THE WORLD’S END, has been talked about for a long time, but has yet come to fruition.

The reason why is simply because they are so busy. But the boys are trying and planning to find time to get the script written. You can check out what Simon Pegg had to say after the break! Continue reading “When time permits, Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright will pen THE WORLD'S END”

"The Legend of Korra" cast list released

I jumped on the bandwagon of Nickelodeon’s hit series Avatar: The Last Airbender very late in the game. In fact, the series had been finished for several years at that point. When the end of the series was reached, I was still craving more. I dreamed and hoped for a sequel series for many months. Then last summer, they announced one. The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra takes place 70 years after the original series with a new Avatar in place.

The cast of the original series was easily one of the most endearing factors of the show. Now we know who we can expect to voice the sequel. Continue reading “"The Legend of Korra" cast list released”

Sean Anders and John Morris could direct I HATE YOU, DAD

Sean Anders and John Morris are on fire these days. After writing SEX DRIVE, SHE’S OUT OF MY LEAGUE, and HOT TUB TIME MACHINE, they are fast turning into one of the the biggest duos in cinema comedy these days. They know how to make funny movies, and it isn’t hard to get pretty excited their future projects.

For all of you who liked SEX DRIVE as much as I did, you might have a reason to be interested in Adam Sandler’s upcoming film, I HATE YOU, DAD, as Anders and Morris may direct the feature. Getting pumped over an Adam Sandler movie isn’t a common occurrence these days, but the actor can do a pretty good job when all the right things are set in place for a project. FUNNY PEOPLE is a great example of this. Sandler did a pretty fantastic job when Judd Apatow was involved. Maybe this would be the case with Anders and Morris in the directors’ chair for I HATE YOU, DAD. Continue reading “Sean Anders and John Morris could direct I HATE YOU, DAD”
