Will Ferrell taking a guest spot on "The Office," to aid Steve Carell's exit

Will Ferrell cameos are usually some of the best out there, as he seems to really run with it every time. Do you remember what you thought when he came down the stairs in WEDDING CRASHERS? I do. I, along with the rest of the theater, began cheering and laughing. Subsequently, that cameo ended up being one of the highlights of the film.

It looks like he has another high profile guest spot coming up soon, this time in the TV world. He will be joining a four episode arc at the end of the season as a way to lead up to Carell’s departure from the show. Emile Hirsch to live THE MOTEL LIFE

Emile Hirsch is an actor I would watch in just about any role, because he is just that good. Even when he took up the mantle of Speed Racer in what ended up being a horrendous, yet incredibly fun adaptation, he brought a lot of enjoyment and fun to the character.

Now, after what seems like a while out of the spotlight, he is going to be taking up a role in THE MOTEL LIFE, based off a novel by Willy Vlautin. The story follows two brothers who face turmoil after one drunkenly hits a teenager on a bike with his car. They flee their motel-ridden lives in Reno to escape any sort of blame for the kid’s death. Continue reading “Emile Hirsch to live THE MOTEL LIFE”

Katie Holmes and Al Pacino team up with Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler used to be the bee’s knees back in the nineties. Sadly, those feelings aren’t quite as prevalent these days, and really only come back in the few daring roles he takes on.

His latest project, JACK AND JILL, isn’t one of those roles, but it does have a pretty interesting cast attached to it. Continue reading “Katie Holmes and Al Pacino team up with Adam Sandler”

Karl Urban now confirmed for JUDGE DREDD

Last week I wrote a report about Karl Urban, who is probably best known for his role of Leonard “Bones” McCoy in the newest STAR TREK film, possibly taking up the mantle of Judge Dredd from Sly Stallone. Although we knew very little then, we now know that Urban will definitely be taking up the role and some of his thoughts on the character.

Check out what he had to say after the break! Continue reading “Karl Urban now confirmed for JUDGE DREDD”

Beast will be played by Benjamin Walker in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS is quickly shaping up to be a really interesting, and possibly really great, project. The casting, such as James McAvoy playing a young Professor X are easy casting announcements to get behind. Although this casting announcement isn’t a big name, he will play one of my favorite X-Men who is often underutilized in the stories of today. Marcia Gay Harden and Aidan Quinn are in IF I WERE YOU

Marcia Gay Harden is often regarded as a very good actress and has appeared in many great movies. Most likely you’ve seen her in something since she was put into the mainstream. Her next film is on the way, and Aiden Quinn and Leonor Watling will be joining her. Continue reading “Marcia Gay Harden and Aidan Quinn are in IF I WERE YOU”
