Everyone has their favorite Spicoli moment. Whether it is something as big as a line or even as small as a puzzled gesture, his character is easily one of the most memorable things about FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH. Although it doesn’t seem like he’ll be donning the blonde Spicoli hair again anytime soon, he does have plans to play another heroic surfer in one of his next projects. IT film gets a major update
When I was a wee little lad, the mini-series of IT used to scare the living clown shoes off of me. Back in those days of yore, it was hard to think of anything scarier. Luckily for me, a fear of clowns was not preserved (unless they have sharp teeth), and I’ve moved on to more frightening media. I am however afraid that the upcoming film version will bring the fear back, and according to the update out today, the project is still on it’s way.
You can check out the update by the writer Dave Kajganich after the break. Continue reading “IT film gets a major update”
Edgar Wright's ANT-MAN is still on
Ever since rumblings first started surfacing of an Edgar Wright adaptation of ANT-MAN, my mind has been reeling with the possibilities. Not only does ANT-MAN seem like a really great fit for Wright, but a more comedic take on the character is highly intriguing due to some of the darker material related to character’s alter ego, Henry Pym.
Though it’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about the project, good ol’ Edgar was nice enough to give us a little update. Continue reading “Edgar Wright's ANT-MAN is still on”
Andy Serkis joins RISE OF THE APES
Andy Serkis is a pretty interesting actor, as he is most well known for playing some of the most iconic CGI characters of the past decade. Although my favorite performance of his might be as KING KONG, most are more familiar with his performance as Gollum in LORD OF THE RINGS. He may not have looked like himself on screen, but he provided the movements and the voice. Now he’s looking to do another CGI role, but as a much smaller monkey in RISE OF THE APES. Alice Eve is in talks to play Emma Frost in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS?
It seems like every-time we report on the casting for X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, it becomes an even more highly anticipated film for me (James McAvoy as Professor X). This is coming from a comic fan that for some reason has never really gotten into the X-Men, aside from the first two films. Now with the news that Alice Eve will most likely be joining the cast as Emma Frost, I’m more excited about this film than ever. Continue reading “Alice Eve is in talks to play Emma Frost in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS?”
Kevin Spacey is one of Jason Bateman's HORRIBLE BOSSES
HORRIBLE BOSSES is quickly building itself up to be one of my most anticipated comedies, solely on its completely outstanding main cast. First they cast Charlie Day and Jason Bateman, then signed on Jason Sudeikis, an actor who I’ve been sending praise to for years now. They’re finally rounding out their cast with their final boss, Kevin Spacey. Continue reading “Kevin Spacey is one of Jason Bateman's HORRIBLE BOSSES”
BACK TO THE FUTURE trilogy finally hits on Blu-ray
There are three trilogies that I feel need to be on Blu-ray, but unfortunately have not made the HD jump yet. These trilogies happen to be STAR WARS, INDIANA JONES, and BACK TO THE FUTURE. Today is officially a good news day as Robert Zemeckis’ hit trilogy will be released on Blu later this year. Continue reading “BACK TO THE FUTURE trilogy finally hits on Blu-ray”
GATW Podcast Ep. 15: Cruise Control
Depending on who you ask, you’ll get a different answer about their opinion on a certain very famous actor. Some love him for his charismatic approach to acting, others don’t love him for his less-than-normal lifestyle. The actor in question happens to be Tom Cruise, probably one of the most recognizable actors of the past 20 years. With his latest film KNIGHT AND DAY getting released, we thought it would be fun to talk about some of his past features that we love and why we love them.
Hit the break to check out the episode and its synopsis! Continue reading “GATW Podcast Ep. 15: Cruise Control”
Leonardo DiCaprio talks J. Edgar Hoover film
A couple of weeks ago, reports came out confirming Leonardo DiCaprio’s involvement in Clint Eastwood’s biopic of J. Edgar Hoover. Not only was this good news because the film had been slowly chugging along and now would be fast-tracked, but also because Leo would be amazing in the role (as always). Leo isn’t afraid to talk a bit about the project and a recent press conference for INCEPTION.
Hit the break to see what he had to say! Continue reading “Leonardo DiCaprio talks J. Edgar Hoover film”
SCREAM 4 scares away Lake Bell
SCREAM 4 is finally happening after many years of fan anticipation, and just as many years of writing fan-fiction anonymously on horror movie message boards (don’t tell, please). The cast had been in ink for a while, but now only days before filming has begun, we are hearing that Lake Bell has officially dropped out of filming. Continue reading “SCREAM 4 scares away Lake Bell”
