The Man Without Fear is on his way to the big screen again, as Fox is working on a reboot of the series.
Though the reboot has been in the works for a while now, it seems to have made little headway toward completion. Everyone expected that once they signed David Slade, director of HARD CANDY and TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, this film would be racing toward moviegoers.
This has proven to be an incorrect assumption, and Fox has hired David James Kelly to do a rewrite.
The film will be based off Frank Miller’s unforgettable Born Again storyline in which Kingpin discovers Daredevil’s true identity, and does everything he can to destroy Murdock’s life. A storyline fit for a darker film, and certainly matches Slade’s style. All things considered, this could end up being the Daredevil flick that we end up talking about for years.
Of course, it does look like there is a lot of work left to be done before we actually get to see the movie. Hopefully it doesn’t take much longer for it to happen, because isn’t the property supposed to switch back to Marvel at some point soon?
