47 RONIN pushed back to 2013

In almost any form of media in which Samurais appear, they would never be caught retreating from battle. They live on a code of honor, one in which death is a better option than retreat. 47 RONIN, an upcoming movie about Samurai, doesn’t hold the same code of honor.

The film has been pushed back from it’s ambiguous November release, to a more solid February 28th, 2013 date.

Not much is known as to why the film was pushed back, like whether it had something to do with production troubles, or that simply February was a better fit for the film. Either way, the film is gaining a lot of attention due to its cast, and more recently, the news that Atticus Ross is scoring the film.

Despite being a period film, 47 Ronin is supposed to have a highly stylized approach with fantasy elements. With Keanu Reeves leading the cast, it’s sure to be a good time. He is such a good pick for a role like this.

What do you guys think?
