THE WORLD'S END has a complete script

Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg are one of the best combos out there, seriously. They have been working together for over a decade now through their cult series Spaced and their “Three Flavours Cornetto” trilogy, which as of now comprises of SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ. The third film of the trilogy hasn’t been a secret, (THE WORLD’S END) and fans have been anxiously awaiting details about when the film might be happening.

Now, thanks to a photo from Simon Pegg, we know that the script is closer than ever to being finished and even has a completed draft. You can check out the photo after the break!

As the photo shows, this is the completed second draft, which means that an earlier version of the script has been done for some time. The big speculation about this photo is the date attached to it, 5/2/12. The discussion comes from whether it means February 5th or May 2nd. It’s probably safe to assume that it meant February, as the standard in Pegg and Wright’s country (England) is to put the day before the month. Most likely, this was the date the draft was completed. If we are wrong, then something is likely to happen in May, whether we hear about it or not.

Although the trilogy is coming to an end, it’s highly unlikely that this would be the last time that Wright and Pegg will work together. It will be sad to see the trilogy come to an end, though the sheer enjoyment of the first two films should lead us to believe that the final installment will be quite a ride.
