Although Christoph Waltz has been around for a while, it was Quentin Tarantino’s INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS that really brought him to the mainstream. In fact, the film led to him winning a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance as the film’s primary antagonist, Hans Landa. This led to great excitement when it was announced that Tarantino and Waltz would be teaming up again for Tarantino’s big follow up, DJANGO UNCHAINED.
The film is currently shooting, but we’ve yet to get a good look at what the film is like. But now, we have a photo revealing Waltz’s character, Dr. King Schultz.
Waltz’s costume is what one would expect from a Quentin Tarantino spaghetti western, but really, it’s the fact that the two are working together again that is most exciting about this news. They make a good pair, and it could lead to great success for the film. What most people are anxious for, however, is to see what Leonardo DiCaprio looks like in the villain role.
DJANGO UNCHAINED is definitely near the top of my most anticipated list, and I have no doubt that Tarantino and company will deliver. You can get unchained on Christmas Day of this year.
