Twi-hards gather! Although the finale to the TWILIGHT film series is just around the corner, that doesn’t mean that Stephenie Meyer’s work is done with the big screen. A film adaptation of her other book is on its way faster than you can say vampire baseball.
Now we are getting our first look at the film through this brand new teaser trailer!
THE HOST is the story of an alien race called Souls, who enter human bodies and try to erase their personality and use them as hosts. A Soul enters the main character Melanie (Saoirse Ronan), but is surprised to find that it has little effect on Melanie’s personality.
I’ve heard from friends that ‘The Host’ isn’t as good as ‘Twilight’, but I don’t think that’s saying much. I find the concept of THE HOST is very interesting, and depending on how the film was produced, it could end up being pretty good. The teaser certainly gives me hope for that, and certainly looks like a step in the right direction.
THE HOST is being directed by Andrew Niccol and is set for release on March 29, 2013.
