Let me just start by saying that Adam Brody is my homeboy. No, I don’t mean that literally, I mean it as in I really enjoy just about everything he is in. Sure, a big part of it is due to my sad obsession with The OC, but it mostly comes from the fact that he has been great in everything he’s been in since (not that all of the films have been great).
His upcoming leading role in Neil LaBute’s SOME GIRLS is starting to build up a pretty impressive cast, and now we’ve got quite a few more ladies to star beside him.
The story follows a novelist who goes on a road trip to make peace with some of his former flames before he get’s married. It was announced a while back that Kristen Bell was set to play one of the roles, an ex named Bobbi. Now Emily Watson, Zoe Kazan, Jennifer Morrison, and Mia Maestro have also joined the cast. Watson is the only one with details out on her character. She will play an older married woman, who had an affair with Brody’s character.
From the cast and the talent behind production, SOME GIRLS is really shaping up to be something special. Maybe this will be the project to finally propel Brody to the acclaim that I have always felt he deserved. Can’t wait to see what comes of it.
