Although we’ve been getting a lot from THE AVENGERS lately, there have been a few things that they had avoided giving us much of. For the longest time, it was The Hulk, which left us all curious as to what shape this iteration would take. Another character they had left in the dark was Cobie Smulders, who plays Robin on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother as Nick Fury’s right hand woman, Maria Hill. We got a decent glimpse of her in the most recent trailer.
Now they’ve released a couple new pictures of her character, including the one above. You can check out the other picture below!
I’m quite a fan of Smulders, as I’ve been following How I Met Your Mother from the beginning, and can’t wait to see her take up the role of Maria Hill. She has the look down pretty well. I can’t wait to see how the role is used in the film.
For those who don’t know much about the character, she was introduced in 2005, and has since been a very big part of the Marvel universe. It’s rare for a character this young to make such an impact, which is why I was initially surprised they were introducing her into the film franchise. As a non-superpowered character, she makes complete sense in the films. She is certainly a welcome addition.
