We’ve known that a television series version of teen classic TEEN WOLF has been brewing over at MTV for a pretty long time now, with little information known about the show. Would it be in the vein of the Michael J. Fox film, or would it be something completely different altogether?
That answer is very apparent from the show’s first trailer, and it looks like it might be a little more TWILIGHT than we expected.
The show takes a very obvious note or two from the current vampire/werewolf pop culture phenomenon, looking more like The Vampire Diaries thanthe original movie. At the same time, that does make it a pretty dark show for MTV to be making. That is the aspect of this show that is most interesting, can MTV make a show like this into a quailty program? I guess we’ll find that out after the premiere on June 5th.
One bone I do need to pick, however, is their choice of using lacrosse over asketball. Slam-dunking werewolves is infinitely entertaining,
