Josh Radnor to direct and star in LIBERAL ARTS

Josh Radnor has it pretty good right now. His hit show How I Met Your Mother, won’t be going anywhere as CBS has picked the show up for two more seasons. To further fill up his calendar, he is finding time to direct his own features in his off-time from the show. His first feature, HAPPYTHANKYOUMOREPLEASE was well received and was a part of the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.

He is now set up to direct his second feature titled LIBERAL ARTS.

Aside from directing LIBERAL ARTS, Radnor also wrote the script and will act in the lead role. Radnor did the same in his first feature, and seemingly pulled it off well. It is the story of a 35 year-old who can’t get away from the college life and accept the responsibilities of growing up. He begins a relationship with a college student who’s age becomes a problem.

The college student will be played by Elizabeth Olsen, who recently starred in MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE. She seems to be making a name for herself lately, as she has RED LIGHTS with Robert De Niro down the pipeline. This role will help further propel her into indie film stardom.

I’m really excited to watch Radnor’s directorial career continue on past HAPPYTHANKYOUMOREPLEASE. What do you guys think about this project?
