Albert Brooks might join KNOCKED UP spin-off

Albert Brooks is the man. His filmography is long and full of greatness and variety, and he’s had one hell of a career up to this point – one that is still thriving. He is one of the comedic gods that has been entertaining us for more than four decades now.

Now he looks to be bringing that greatness to Judd Apatow’s next film, which is a spin-off to his second feature KNOCKED UP. Brooks is very close to being cast in the film, in the role of Paul Rudd’s father. It’s a role that sounds absolutely perfect for Brooks, and there would be a whole lot he can do with the role. Not to mention the promise of Brooks and Rudd playing off each other. Both are so funny, I can’t imagine how funny it will be to have them quipping together.

The film will bring Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann back as their respective characters from KNOCKED UP, and aside from the possible addition of Brooks, Megan Fox has also been cast in an unannounced role. Word is still out on what exactly this spin-off will be like, or if it will even tie into KNOCKED UP in any way (aside from the characters). I really like Judd Apatow and this cast, so I certainly have high hopes.
