AMERICAN: THE BILL HICKS STORY was one of the many great documentaries I was able to see at last year’s SXSW Film Festival. It’s a funny, sad, and altogether inspiring story that will leave the theater with you.
Now, almost a year after the film is premiered at SXSW, it has been given a new poster. You can check out the full poster after the break!
This is such a cool poster. It not only has a really cool artistic feel to it, but it also seems as though it captures the essence of the film pretty well. It has the flair of the visual style that is used in the movie, and the energy that Hicks threw off. I’m not sure there could have been a more fitting poster for the film.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to see this film yet and have any sort of interest in stand-up comedy, you must see check it out. If you don’t, you’ll be missing out on the story of one of the best stand-up comedians of all-time.
