Sean Anders and John Morris are on fire these days. After writing SEX DRIVE, SHE’S OUT OF MY LEAGUE, and HOT TUB TIME MACHINE, they are fast turning into one of the the biggest duos in cinema comedy these days. They know how to make funny movies, and it isn’t hard to get pretty excited their future projects.
For all of you who liked SEX DRIVE as much as I did, you might have a reason to be interested in Adam Sandler’s upcoming film, I HATE YOU, DAD, as Anders and Morris may direct the feature. Getting pumped over an Adam Sandler movie isn’t a common occurrence these days, but the actor can do a pretty good job when all the right things are set in place for a project. FUNNY PEOPLE is a great example of this. Sandler did a pretty fantastic job when Judd Apatow was involved. Maybe this would be the case with Anders and Morris in the directors’ chair for I HATE YOU, DAD.The film centers around Sandler who is clashing with his son, played by Andy Samberg, because Sandler is fighting with his son’s bride to be. It’s hard to imagine Sandler playing the father to Samberg, but they both can bring the funny, so maybe it will work out.
Anders and Morris’ involvement gives some credence to the picture for me. What do you guys think?
