PET SEMETARY to get the remake treatment

WhenI was a kiddo, garage sales used to be the best place to get movies from. Aside from the fact that you could generally find gems for somewhere around fifty cents, they also didn’t have any qualms selling R-rated movies to children. This is where my love for PET SEMETARY began.

Now that the world has evolved into this remake-loving culture, it only makes sense that they would want to hit on Stephen King’s work. This project and the IT remake are definite proof there is interest.

Matthew Greenberg is currently on the script, which is said to be a new version of the story, but he isn’t really allowed to say much about it. We also have reports that the executives and studio are hard at work trying to acquire a big name director to tackle the project. That seems like a really clever idea, which could be just what the film needs to be more than your average remake.

It will be amazing to see a new version of one of my childhood classics, and I anxiously await when I’ll be able to do that. PET SEMETARY is the film that really introduced and cultivated my love for horror, so maybe this film can do that for the next generation of horror fanatics.

What do you guys think?
