THOR is just on the horizon, and with things like trailers being released, it isn’t surprising that a lot of info is starting to come out about the film. The current rumor that is taking the Internet by storm is that one of THE AVENGERS is set to make a cameo in Kenneth Branagh’s THOR.
The common consensus is that it is most likely Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, hit the break to see why!
The idea of Hawkeye appearing in THOR is actually substantiated with some truth. Back when the rumor of Renner taking the role firs came out, he was quoted as saying:
“The only reason it came out this early, because AVENGERS is two years away, is that they’re thinking OK, we may throw him in THOR , we may not, as a cameo. You know what I mean? So there’s truth that we talked about it, but there’s no truth to me doing it.”
If this rumor turns out to be true, it is unclear exactly how involved Hawkeye would be in the film. It would, however, be a really great way to introduce the world to a film version of Hawkeye before THE AVENGERS, as he is one of Marvel’s lesser-known characters to the non-comic community.
Naturally, this is absolutely exciting to me, as Hawkeye is my favorite Marvel hero. If we find out any more truth to this, we will keep you informed.
