CW wants to bring DC's Raven to the small screen

This isn’t something that I readily admit, but there was a time in my life where I was pretty obsessed with Smallville. The show has since lost its fun and cheesiness, but the happy memories still remain. With the show coming to its end, it’s no surprise that the CW wants to replace Supes with another one of their many heroes.

It seems that now they might have made their choice.

That hero happens to be Raven, one of their lesser known heroes who has become more popular in the last several years. Raven’s show still has a way to go before it would actually come out, but they are trying. Currently the show is in the scripting stages, with Diego Gutierrez (V, Without a Trace) writing and producing.

It’s still too early to know much more than that about the show, but currently the prospect is exciting. Maybe this could be a breath of fresh air into the TV superhero show. Hopefully Raven can bring the same kind of fan interest that Superman has brought in the past.
