Do we really need a fourth UNDERWORLD film? That’s something that I keep wondering every time word gets stirring about the project. Whether we like it or not, Screen Gems seems to think we do.
Even more interestingly, Kate Beckinsale agrees with them and will return for the fourth film.
This is really surprising, since they decided to take the third film in a very different direction, by making it a prequel and not having Beckinsale reprise her role. Usually after a move like that, the lead actor or actress wouldn’t return. I guess this film will be the anomaly.
But this news also reinvigorates interest in the project a little bit. Seeing Beckinsale return to the role makes the film at least worth considering, because something about it obviously made her want to come back. Maybe it’ll surprise us all.
