Disney’s acquisition of Marvel has brought forth infinite more possibilities for Marvel properties to make it to the big screen. One of the first of which seems to be Iron Fist, a character very well known for fans of comics, but virtually unknown to everyone else.
Disney has now picked up a writer to pen a script for the character.
Rich Wilkes, who is best known for writing XXX, has been hired to bring the IRON FIST to the big screen. It’s a pretty daring move for Marvel and Disney to move forward with IRON FIST, since he isn’t a name brand hero, but the idea of a more martial arts-based Marvel movie is intriguing.
I thoroughly enjoy the Iron Fist and the man behind the mask, Danny Rand, and can’t wait to see what they do with the project.
