Wow, talk about a blast from the past, where have you been, Andie MacDowell? At one point, she was one of the biggest working actresses in the nineties, only to disappear from the spotlight in the newer millennium.
Luckily for all of us, MacDowell has been cast in the upcoming FOOTLOOSE remake.
She will play the role of Reverend Shaw Moore’s wife, a role that was originally played by the unforgettable Dianne Wiest. A perfect replacement in every regard, and there’s no doubt that Andie’s involvement will bring a lot to the role. With Dennis Quaid in the role of Shaw, this could be a better remake than we anticipated.
We can only hope that this role proves to be a comeback for Andie, as she is an actress worth having around. Plus, maybe this could lead to a GROUNDHOG DAY spin-off? Please Holly-gods?
