X-MEN: FIRST CLASS is shaping up to be a pretty interesting superhero flick, with some very interesting casting choices. One of those previously-announced casting choices (that was already absolutely sublime) has actually gotten even better.
Alice Eve has now been replaced by January Jones for the role of Emma Frost. Cold has never been so hot.
Both Jones and Eve share a striking resemblance to the character, which makes the prospect of either one of them in the role very exciting. The thing that really gives January Jones the leg up between the two, however, are her consistently outstanding performances on Mad Men. She has continually proven herself as a phenomenal dramatic actress, and is becoming a respected name in the business.
Although I’m sure that FIRST CLASS won’t call for her impeccable chops, the possibility is what really matters. Having her in the role could quite possibly bring a lot more to the film. With Matthew Vaughn behind the camera, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS is shaping up to be, dare I say it, first class.
