THE TOWN is probably one of my most anticipated upcoming films, both off its incredible star power and Ben Affleck’s direction. Crime dramas are easily my favorite genre, and THE TOWN gives me a DEPARTED vibe in all the best ways.
This new poster is exciting, as it showcases one of the most interesting aspects to the trailer – the masked robbers. Click the jump to check out the poster in its full nun-tastic glory.
I adore the nun masks in the film, they are easily the best mask that the film has highlighted thus far. At the same time, I can’t help but be creeped out by the look of them. They remind me of the main characters from TRASH HUMPERS, which creeps me out even more.
If they keep putting out ads that are styled like this one, it won’t be hard for them to build momentum for the film. Hopefully THE TOWN can reach the same critical acclaim that Ben Affleck’s first film, GONE BABY GONE, did. With all the material put out thus far, I haven’t a doubt.
