The idea of THE FANTASTIC FOUR getting a reboot by Fox is not only really exciting, but extremely horrifying. There’s always a chance that the third time is the charm for Fox, but after the first two films, who can really be sure. Today, news is coming out that one of the first family, The Thing, will be entirely CG.
Is this a good sign for the film, or yet another misstep by Fox?
It seems that they are taking a note from characters like The Hulk and others who manage to look extremely menacing and convincing as full CG characters. With a CG version of the character, they could very easily finally make him not look like a man in a rubber suit.
The other interesting bit of news is that Fox seems to be holding off on the project till after X-MEN: FIRST CLASS is wrapped up. This could be good for both projects, as they can send all their focus to each project individually.
So what do you guys think of this news? Do you think that The Thing will look a lot better in full CG? Could the one at a time focus on the films help out their success?

Oh, thank God. Sounds like they're throwing some money at this Thing (giggle). Chiklis looked like a sun-worn graham cracker that Golgothan hurled a crap missile at.

Agreed. I'm just hoping they make him more stylized like they do in the comics. I love the version of The Thing that has the huge eyebrow. Always thought it looked so cool.
