We’ve known about the live action/CG hybrid YOGI BEAR movie for a good while now, knowing everything from casting (including T.J. Miller’s audition with a real bear) to the official plot synopsis. But the biggest mystery has been what they would do with Yogi and Boo Boo visually. Turns out, they didn’t want to stray too far away from the cartoon, and this first poster proves just that.
Check out the full poster after the break!
I’d like to start off by saying that they nailed Yogi and Boo Boo, to the point where even if the movie turns out terribly, the style will still be remembered. It truly brings back memories of watching Yogi cartoons and Wacky Races on Cartoon Network, when it was still a Hanna-Barbera fueled station.
They’ve got me hook, line, and sinker on this one, at least until the trailer is released tomorrow at 7PM Eastern / 4PM Pacific. Until then, keep your picnic baskets close, because YOGI BEAR is on the loose.
