There’s no way that the people behind MACHETE are going to let it slip past us, as they are putting out new ways to tease us constantly. From the most recent trailer that was released, to the batch of posters just put out, we are in an all out MACHETE media assault.
It isn’t a bothersome assault at all, since the movie actually looks like a lot of fun, and exactly what we would want to see out of a Robert Rodriguez movie. What I do find interesting however, is the recent focus on Lindsay Lohan’s involvement in the film. It’s something that I can only attribute to her recent prominence in the media as she’s heading to jail.
Although media grabs such as this are often off-putting, this one really vibes with me. Maybe the irony behind her playing a murderous nun, compared to her real life antics make it work.
How do you guys feel about her prominence in the marketing as of late?
