If there’s anything that the Street Fighter franchise has going for it, it’s a great cast of characters that are getting sorely misrepresented in other media. The company behind the games, Capcom, can see the potential in the series and aren’t ready to give up on it just yet.The part that makes this news more exciting is that Capcom understands their missteps with the past STREET FIGHTER films, and are genuinely looking to make good with the fans. I think most fan’s wouldn’t mind if Capcom made it up to everyone, with a genuinely good flick.
STREET FIGHTER really is a great example of a videogame movie that can work, as they’ve had a lot of really great anime movies. As someone who isn’t an avid anime fan, that really says a lot since I generally like the STREET FIGHTER ones.
