Leonardo DiCaprio talks J. Edgar Hoover film

A couple of weeks ago, reports came out confirming Leonardo DiCaprio’s involvement in Clint Eastwood’s biopic of J. Edgar Hoover. Not only was this good news because the film had been slowly chugging along and now would be fast-tracked, but also because Leo would be amazing in the role (as always). Leo isn’t afraid to talk a bit about the project and a recent press conference for INCEPTION.

Hit the break to see what he had to say!

“Yeah, I’m talking to Clint Eastwood about playing J. Edgar Hoover, who had his hand in some of the most scandalous events in American history — everything from the Vietnam war to [John] Dillinger to Martin Luther King and JFK. It’s about the secret life of J Edgar Hoover.”

I always love a biopic that gives us a deep “behind the curtains,” kind of look at the persons life; hopefully that’s how this will turn out.

For those who aren’t too familiar with J. Edgar  Hoover, there was a claim in the early nineties that he engaged in cross-dressing in the fifties. When Leo was asked if that would be part of the film, he replied:

“Not as of yet. We haven’t done the fittings for those… so I don’t think so.”

Oh Leo, not only are you a fantastic actor, but you know how to use your wit. Hopefully we’ll hear more from this project very soon.
