I’ve stayed cautious but still excited about AMC’s The Walking Dead since it was first announced. As a devout fan of the comic series, I have been very worried about how the content of the translation not being as graphic. This new image, along with the several that came out last week completely ruins that idea and prove that this is going to be a very graphic show.

This is such a powerful and haunting image. This is the stuff nightmares are made of people! I love the attention to detail that was taken. Take the visible ribs, a disturbing but so incredibly perfect extra touch. They really nailed the look and feel of the comic, it’s a lot easier to feel confident about the project when images like this come out.
The Walking Dead will have its premiere on AMC during Fearfest in October 2010.
