Dexter is certainly a favorite television series of a lot of us here at Gordon and the Whale, and we are anxiously awaiting season five. Season four ended with a major shocker, and left fans completely unsure of what would follow. As the next season is approaching, details are now starting to come out about what we can expect, such as that film actress Julia Stiles has officially joined the cast for the next season.

Stiles will be joining the cast for ten episodes as “a mysterious young woman who forms a unique relationship with Dexter (Michael C. Hall) in the wake of the death of his wife.” The announcement did not go into any details about what their relationship might be like, but I have a hunch it might be…murderous.
Stiles has always impressed me in her roles, so it’s very exciting to see her take up another dramatic role, particularly in a television series. As in previous seasons of Dexter, the guest-starring roles are some of the best parts of the show. Filming of the next season is supposed to begin this month, with a fall premiere date on Showtime.

Even though I'm caught up, I appreciate the spoiler warnings. Some sites don't do that and I get burned!Can they really keep having a killer for Dex to go up against? Also, I think his sister needs to find out about him this season.

If I've heard correctly, there will not be a villain killer for him to go after this season.But seriously though, I thought that before season four and Trinity was INCREDIBLE.

Agreed. How can you top Trinity? With such a great cast, there's plenty of subplots to choose from for the new season. Use to love having Dexter cast on Fango radio show…David Zayas was always great. We'd play “Dr. Zayas” each time he came on for an interview.
