Jemaine Clement cast as the MEN IN BLACK 3 villain

A while back we caught wind that there was a very good chance that Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords, EAGLE VS. SHARK) could be showing up in the next MEN IN BLACK film. At first, we were led to believe it might be in a smaller and more comedic role, but now we know the truth.

Jemaine Clement is definitely in the film, and will play the antagonist.

The name of Clement’s character is not totally known, but it is said to be either Boris or Yaz, and is described as “charmy and creepy at the same time.” I’m sure we’ll find out more very soon, including the character’s final name choice.

I’m really interested to see Clement play a villain in this sort of capacity. Originally, I wasn’t sure he would be good for a role like this, but the more I think about it, the better it sounds. We’ve still got a ways to go before the movie comes out, so my fingers are crossed until it is released in May of 2012.
