A lot of people were pretty surprised when Samuel L. Jackson signed on to play Nick Fury in nine Marvel movies. Of course we know a lot of the films he will be showing up in, but nine is a lot more than we know about. Directly from the mouth of Jackson himself, we might know about one more of these projects, one I certainly wasn’t expecting.

“The Avengers should start shooting some time next year, and then some time after that there’ll be a big S.H.I.E.L.D. movie.”
That is a pretty big bombshell of information, I kind of figured THE AVENGERS would be the S.H.I.E.L.D. movie in a lot of ways. It would still be cool to see a film more Nick Fury centric though.
Unfortunately after saying this he went on to flub a bunch of other information about Marvel films, which could shake the credibility of what he said. On the flip side though, it is likely that he would know if there was going to be a feature in which he is the main star. Hopefully this film materializes, we’ll definitely let you know if we find out more.
