THE FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA to begin shooting this summer

Evans and America

With IRON MAN 2 being released May 7, excitement over Marvel’s films are at an all-time high. Although details of the Captain America film has been a big secret from the get-go, the cast has been revealed and now more information is starting to trickle out. Although we have known for awhile that the film would shoot this summer, we now have an official date.

The Chris Evans-starring CAPTAIN AMERICA film will begin filming June 28, with Joe Johnston directing. One exciting thing about the impending summer start date, is that now we should start getting a flood of information coming out.

I know one of the most nerve-racking things about a CAPTAIN AMERICA film to most fans is if they will nail the costume. I wouldn’t be too surprised if we get a couple teases throughout filming as to what it might look like, before the big reveal with teaser posters and trailer.

THE FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA will hit the big screens July 22, 2011.
