Sarah Silverman is a stand-up comedian who stole my heart many years ago when I saw a little film called JESUS IS MAGIC. She knows how to bring some of the most disturbing humor to the mainstream audience, and it never seems all that offensive because she’s just so darn cute. It’s always nice when she pops up as a film cameo, but now she’s gonna take on a bigger role in Sarah Polley’s TAKE THIS WALTZ with Seth Rogen.
TAKE THIS WALTZ is about a woman (Michelle Williams) who is a serial cheater in relationships, and the impact that has on her new love (Seth Rogen). Silverman will be playing Seth Rogen’s sister in the film, and is supposed to give him advice in difficult moments.
I’m really excited to see this cast work together in this this indie flick. It is exciting to think of the interactions between Silverman and Rogen, especially in a film that is supposed to be more on the dramatic side. Filming will begin this summer, and I’m sure we’ll know more about TAKE THIS WALTZ after shooting wraps.
