Jennifer Connelly’s got it pretty good since she appeals to so many markets. She’s gotten her geek cred from being in films like THE HULK, her dramatic cred for REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, and even her chick flick cred for HE’S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU. Now she very well might spread her reach even farther by joining Ron Howard’s CHEATERS, as an offer has been made to her.
If she accepts, she will be playing the girlfriend of Vince Vaughn’s character– a man who is dealing with the issue of telling his best friend that his wife is cheating on him. Filling in the shoes of the best friend and wife will be Kevin James and Winona Ryder.
Since Ron Howard is on board as the director, we can expect the film to be at a slightly higher quality than the synopsis would make me imagine. If Connelly accepts, it will only give the film an even bigger opportunity to shine than it already does.
