Okay, so Tracy Morgan’s last portrayal of a cop didn’t go so well, but he deserves another shot… right? Regardless of what you or I might think, Nu Image/Millennium Films seems to think he does. Tracy Morgan and Juliette Binoche are currently in final negotiations to join the ensemble cast of SON OF NO ONE.
The role that Morgan will be taking is one that at one point was being filled by Terrence Howard. Quite big shoes to fill, but we have never seen Morgan in a serious, dramatic role. Maybe he has the chops somewhere in his arsenal (deep behind the “I’m gonna get you pregnant,” line).
The rest of the ensemble cast is pretty impressive, with Channing Tatum at the lead. Other roles have been given to Al Pacino, Ray Liotta, and Katie Holmes. The impressive cast is something that makes me really interested in seeing Morgan’s performance. I guess we’ll find out whenever the film hits the big screen.
