The MEN IN BLACK franchise is a major goldmine for Columbia. After two very successful films and an animated series, it came as no surprise that a third film was being thrown into the mix. After almost a year of hearing nothing about the sequel since it’s initial announcement, the silence has finally been broken.
BORAT star Sacha Baron Cohen and “Flight of the Conchords” star Jemaine Clement are currently in the running for a role in the film. The role they are being considered for is that of “Yaz,” who other than the name, we know nothing about. This could mean that the role might be an agent or an alien. Usually, with silly actors such as these two gents being considered, I wouldn’t be surprised if the role was an alien character.
Also rumored for the film is Josh Brolin, but his appearance is still unconfirmed. The biggest question most have is if Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will return as the infamous J and K. But can you really imagine a good MIB movie without Will Smith?
