HALL PASS gets another pair of actors

The cast of HALL PASS is really rounding out with all these announcements that have been made in the past couple weeks. First it was announced that Amanda Bynes would be appearing in the film, then we found out that Stephen Merchant and J.B. Smoove were joining the cast. Today it was announced that Nicky Whelan and Derek Waters would also be joining the cast.

Nicky Whelan, some might recognize from her small role in “Scrubs: Med School,” as one of the students trying to get their medical degree. Derek Waters isn’t really known for acting, but he is somewhat known for co-directing the DRUNK HISTORY shorts. Chase, Rusty and James actually got the chance to sit down with Derek (twice!) at this year’s Sundance and talk about the two new DRUNK HISTORY shorts that premiered at the festival. Whelan is said to be a young woman who tempts Owen Wilson’s character after he is given his infidelity pass, while Waters plays a barista and DJ who tries to keep them apart. Whelan’s part is said to be a pretty pivotal role in the film.

I’m pretty excited about this film because the cast is awesome and I’m hoping all these relative unknowns can get some recognition from it. We’ll let you know if any more casting announcements happen, since there have been so many lately.
