Brian Michael Bendis is arguably one of the best and most appreciated comic book authors working today. Before he became Marvel’s go-to writer, he made a name for himself writing independent mystery and thriller books. Now one of those graphic novels will hit the big screen, and is likely to star Zac Efron.
The story is a spy thriller about a college student who joins the CIA and ultimately ends up setting up assassination attempts for the agency. The film will be written by Bendis, and it will be produced by Efron.
The fact that Bendis is writing the script instantly sells me on this one. He is such a talented and prolific writer, I have no doubt his script would be extremely well-done. I would really like to see him break into screenwriting. Now us Ultimate Spider-Man fans can only hope that he somehow gets attached to a Spidey flick.
