THE AVENGERS is easily one of the biggest comic book movie endeavors ever and one of the most anticipated movies in recent history. Fans have discussed theories as to who would be in the film endlessly, and false rumors like that of Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye have only fueled the fire.
Kevin Feige has now revealed exactly who will be in THE AVENGERS, and ultimately created another interesting theory. Check out what he had to say, and the theory that has come about after the jump!
“…it’s three people, four including Hulk, five including Nick Fury – who you have seen before in other movies, coming together for the very first time.”
This is basically what I figured it would be, they don’t want to overcrowd the first movie more than it already is. The three he is talking about are obviously Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man. I have a feeling that if there will be more characters added, it will be in a second AVENGERS movie.
Where the new theory starts to come in, is in how he mentions The Hulk. They way he says it makes it sound like he won’t be part of the group, but will be in the film in some capacity. This is very normal for Avengers stories, though. I’m thinking of The Ultimates (the Avengers book of Marvel’s “Ultimate” line), where The Hulk went crazy near the end after breaking out of captivity. I think that could be an interesting angle to take in the film.
