In the past couple of years, GREEN LANTERN has become one of DC’s flagship series. What was once an old and tired idea and character has been revitalized thanks to the brilliant writing of Geoff Johns. As we all know, there is a GREEN LANTERN movie on its way that is being directed by Martin Campbell. Now we have somewhat of an idea what the film’s visual style will look like, as some concept art has come out of Kilowog and Tomar-Re.
You can check out the concept art after the jump!
First, here is the picture of Kilowog; he trains new Green Lantern Corps. trainees.
He looks like a bad dude, I wouldn’t want to run into him outside Heliopolis. Next is a picture of Tomar-Re and another Corps. trainer.
I like the visual direction they are going with the film, it seems like they really want to capture the essence of the recent Green Lantern comics. Are you guys happy with the direction of the GREEN LANTERN movie so far?

Looks pretty solid. Hopefully the film is more serious than cheesy (more “The Dark Knight” than “Spiderman”).

Agreed. It obviously doesn't need to be as dark as THE DARK KNIGHT, but it certainly needs to be as serious.
