When the second NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM went on to gross over $400 million in box office revenues, it basically guaranteed that there would be another sequel. Despite the fact that reviews for the second film were extremely mixed, people still flocked to the theaters to see it. Now thanks to Thomas Lennon, we know that the third film is most likely on its way.
Check out what he had to say about the potential project after the jump!
“How could you not? I think it’s a really outstanding idea to do NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 3, in fact…I wonder if someone’s not even already working on a script for that. I cannot confirm that for a fact, but I cannot deny it for a fact either…It might be in the works.”
When he was asked where the sequel might take place, he responded:
“Here’s a little bit, [a] real quick spoiler alert – NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 3 is set in the Liberace Museum.”
Whether he is joking or not, we don’t know, but I have a feeling that we’ll find out soon enough. Hopefully they can bring a breath of fresh air to the series, because it seems a little played out to me.
Does you guys have any interest in seeing another NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM?
