Lionsgate is gearing up for the March 19 release of SEASON OF THE WITCH by putting out a new poster. So far, we’ve a seen a teaser and a trailer, just enough to pique interest in the horror film. The film was directed by Dominic Sena, who also directed GONE IN SIXTY SECONDS, SWORDFISH (so awesome!), and WHITEOUT which came out earlier this year. Unfortunately for Sena, WHITEOUT went through critical hell and was almost universally disliked. Maybe he can redeem himself with this one.

The film is the story of a 14th century Crusader played, by Nicolas Cage, who goes back to his homeland after the Black Plague has devastated it. He and his friend Felson, played by Ron Perlman, are given the task of transporting a young girl who is accused of being a witch to a group of monks who can stop her.
